Workers at Greater Risk by not wearing Safety Equipment

In OSHA safety training programs, a lot of emphasis is given to providing workers with the knowledge about the importance of safety equipment. The fact is that a great deal of accidents happen when they are not wearing proper safety equipment. A lot of organizations have workers that fail to wear the necessary safety equipment while at work. There are a number of reasons behind why they don't consider the need to wear safety equipment important. First of all, most of them are not aware of the dangers that are associated at the job site and how they can reduce it by wearing safety equipment. Another is that the equipment or clothing they wear is not comfortable most of the time, and sometimes it is very heavy, making the workers dread it as it makes their work more complicated. Again, some employers do not mandate them to wear the safety clothing, putting their lives at danger even more. This happens in numerous occasions and the fatality increases when they don’t comply with PPE. O
