OSHA 30 Hour Safety Course

The OSHA Outreach Training Program is provided by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration through classroom and online training. Also, a large number of OSHA certified private companies conduct OSHA 30 hour training courses. These courses focus on the health and safety training for those who are employed in the general, maritime and construction industry. The 12 hours of mandatory topics in the 30 hour training courses include fall protection, falling object safety, caught in between safety and struck by safety. A brief introduction to OSHA is also provided to the applicants. Other mandatory topics required for training are lifesaving and personal protective equipments, ladder and stairway safety and other general health hazards. The other elective topics for this course include prevention of fire hazards, safe handling of materials, confined space entries and tool safety.
